Educational pavilion, Warsaw

competition, honourable mention

The pavilion will host an institution that popularizes the knowledge related to ecology. The building should become a part of a natural green landscape at the riverside of Warsaw. It would consist of a wooden roof supported on wooden pillars, numerous but small in diameter. The inner row of verticals would support the inner part of the roof. The outer row would support the cantilevered roof on the perimeter of the building. Some of the pillars would be angled to counteract horizontal forces of a wind. The pavilion would have big windows all around with a view to the beautiful green surrounding and the river.
